PG - 10 Weeks 1 Day - Great Ultrasound!!!

So I've past what I feel is my milestone ultrasound from a viability perspective. It was actually better than both Leo and I thought it would be. We were both worried that growth would have slowed down because we've been so busy the last week, but it was the exact opposite. I'm measuring at almost 11 weeks by now. Baby A was 10 weeks 6 days and Baby B was 10 weeks 5 days. So you know what that means! No more progesterone suppositories!!! V. Good! Hate those annoying but necessary buggers. The heart rates were great again. I think Baby A was at 160 and Baby B was at 167. We were able to see arms, fingers and thumbs, and legs. It was really cool.

Of course I woke up with a sore throat yesterday. What with the fluctuations of temperature and being around Phoebe all the time with her coughing without covering her mouth, it was bound to happen. We went grocery shopping today to get ready for our New Years Eve/Day parties we have with our friends. Can't wait! Leo is also making us homemade wonton soup and egg rolls for dinner.

I did buy some maternity clothes over the weekend, so I'm glad the ultrasound went well. Leo was able to help me find some cute things, so I don't look dorky. I need to post some pics of some of the clothes I wear. I think my style is a little like Gwen Stefani. I love black, but I love my bright pink or leopard print tights. I get lots of compliments on both of those. So dowdy maternity clothes are not my thing. Leo was great at being able to help find cute things. And I got two pairs of maternity tights. Those are awesome! Definitely more room for my rapidly growing belly!!! I haven't bought any maternity jeans yet. I tried some on at Kohls yesterday, but they were hideous. Made my butt look really bad. I think I'm going to case out the consignment shops in the area and see if they have any designer maternity jeans. I'd really like something not that expensive, that doesn't look like "mom jeans". Basically something comfortable that makes my butt look better than it really is, since lipo is not an option right now, LOL.

YAY! That is fantastic news! So happy for you guys! As for maternity jeans, I found the secret fit jeans at Motherhood to be very comfy and stylish. They had lots of different cuts and colors and they were inexpensive. And the secret fit can be worn through the whole pregnancy because the band is a breathable lycra. I liked them. :)

Yay. I'm so glad your u/s went well! What rapidly growing babies you have! Overachievers already.

I recently broke down and bought some maternity clothes. I bought one pair of maternity jeans from Old Navy. They are too big in the belly now (obviously) but the rest looks good.
That's wonderful news, have fun shopping. Hmm, I wonder if Gwen Stefani has a maternity line.

Yay for a great u/s! I know I was SO happy to be done with those suppositories too (except I had to go to 13 weeks!) They are so messy! My mom found me a pair of maternity jeans at Kohl's for Christmas. I had given up on finding any, because I am so freakishly tall. She said there was no tag on them, and there was only one pair, so she had my lil sis try them on. I can't believe they fit PERFECTLY and are SO long-I can wear heels! WooHoo! Not sure if they were an old style, or a pair that was made to long, but it was like they were there just for me! I'd love to see what outfits you will put together. So far I only have two 3/4 sleeve shirts and two short sleeve ones-I'm getting kind of sick of wearing them! What is up with maternity sizing? I have some shirts in a small and some in a large!

hey congratulations that's great news! some babies already ahead of the curve, I'm very impressed.

Re clothes, I found jeans pretty much impossible to find a good pair, I'm not skinny enough to start off with for the designer ones, and the others are either hideous or too baggy or fell down all the time. I gave up and wore skirts instead.

Stopping the Voices in my Head - aka Mastering my Mindset

The more I work on my personal development, the more I realize I need to stop listening to and changing the negative things I tell myself in my head.  I'm also noticing the older I get the more the negative things I hold as beliefs about myself are not true.  This reinforces that I should second guess the other negative beliefs I hold inside ... maybe those are not true either.  Here are a few things I've realized are not true: I need help to put air in my car tires - This was one of the first things I learned as my husband had to move to Colorado for work. I did this at the Wawa up the street where the machine will stop and beep when your tires are at the right pressure.  I also learned and committed to memory that the pressure you want your tires at is inside your gas cap, something I have to open at least once a week.  This was something that was super easy to learn to do and had me zipping along the roads in a few minutes without the anxiety...

Bad Dreams Go Away Magic Spell

Wow! Two posts in one day!!! I just had to blog about this. Indigo Girl had posted about her daughter having bad dreams and looking for advice. I had to post what we do in our house to keep away bad dreams. I have to admit it was one of my most brilliant mommy moments as I pulled this one out of my a$$ when I came up with it. When Phoebe was about 3 or 4 years old, she started complaining about nightmares. I knew it was half true and half stalling for bedtime. She has always been very into witches, wizards and spells (heck she was named after the character on Charmed and my due date was Halloween), so I came up with a magic spell on the spot to keep away bad dreams. I figured all it had to do was rhyme. I will share it with you all and feel free to try it if you need it: Bad dreams, bad dreams go away In Phoebe's dreams she must play She should dream of ice cream and cake Until the morning when she wakes She loves it! She still asks for it sometimes if she's had a ni...

Phoebe's Fifth Grade School Picture

Here's Phoebe's 5th Grade School Picture.  I really like her in red or bright colors.  She's definitely becoming quite the little lady.
