Didn't Have the Heart to Test Again

I did buy a 2-pack of the Fact Plus Early Detection tests instead of First Response (FRED) last night. I didn't have the heart to take it this AM as my temp went down to 98.0. I have no idea what is going on. I am definately 16 DPO, which has never happened to me. AF hasn't come, I don't know if she will. I bet I'll get it on Friday when I have my annual GYN exam. Anyone know if they'll still do Pap smears when you have your period? I know I've had vaginal ultrasounds when I've been having a really heavy period. I don't know. I'll have to call.

Yesterday was a rough, yet productive day personally. Work is stressing me out though. I need more time to concentrate to get things done at work. I went home for a long lunch yesterday to meet with the realtor that will be putting our house on the market so we can move to the new house. We made a decision to put the house on the market on 11/29/05. I think Tom and I decided last night how much we're going to ask for it, but we don't need to say until the 29th. I soaked in the bath last night since I was so stressed yesterday. It made me feel a little better.

I'm really tired today and woke up with a sore throat. I wish I could go home and crawl back into bed. Maybe I'll test tomorrow if my temp hasn't significantly dropped. We'll see.

They won't do a pap if you have your period and an actual flow. At least my old OB wouldn't.

I'm still holding out some hope that maybe ... just maybe you won't have it on Friday.

*hopes and hugs*

honey, I am so sorry that things are not definite for you. I hope that you get an answer one way or the other because the waiting is the worst. :(

i screen paps for a living, and some docs will and some won't... from a screener's point of view- I would say reschedule... if they use a ThinPrep slide it makes it a little easier to read because it filters out some of the blood(definitely resch. if they only use conventional slides, blood gets in the way).. they will get a more useful sample if you go when not on your period (and no sex/douche/lube/creams at least 24 hrs prior, trust me! women shouldn't douche anyway... the body is designed to cleanse itself)... ok now off my soapbox... hehe
good luck with TTC, hubs and i have decided to hold off, we were TTC for a year and no luck, now he is deploying to Afgh...so we will try when he gets back!

Here's Phoebe's 5th Grade School Picture.  I really like her in red or bright colors.  She's definitely becoming quite the little lady.

The Boys Are Here!!!

I'm trying to post this from the hospital Internet access, but I will be able to do this announcement better justice from home, but it is a very odd, but short birth story. They came so fast and furious there was nothing anyone could do. But the boys are in the NICU and doing well. They were born at 31 weeks 5 days gestation on 5/29/2009. I will post their names and information (no comments on names unless you like them, LOL): Baby A: Thomas Michael III born at 2:09 AM Weight - 3 lbs, 15 1/2 oz Length - 18 inches Baby B: Liam Jonathan born at 2:20 AM Weight - 4 lbs, 1.4 oz Length - 17 1/4 inches long Just a word on their health, Thomas's breathing is doing well and he did not need any help in that area so far. I had two steroid shots from when I was admitted until before they were born, so I think that helped. Liam was intubated and given surfactant when he arrived in the NICU and is now on CPAP, although he can't stand having the tubes in his nose. Both are under t...

Bad Dreams Go Away Magic Spell

Wow! Two posts in one day!!! I just had to blog about this. Indigo Girl had posted about her daughter having bad dreams and looking for advice. I had to post what we do in our house to keep away bad dreams. I have to admit it was one of my most brilliant mommy moments as I pulled this one out of my a$$ when I came up with it. When Phoebe was about 3 or 4 years old, she started complaining about nightmares. I knew it was half true and half stalling for bedtime. She has always been very into witches, wizards and spells (heck she was named after the character on Charmed and my due date was Halloween), so I came up with a magic spell on the spot to keep away bad dreams. I figured all it had to do was rhyme. I will share it with you all and feel free to try it if you need it: Bad dreams, bad dreams go away In Phoebe's dreams she must play She should dream of ice cream and cake Until the morning when she wakes She loves it! She still asks for it sometimes if she's had a ni...
