What's A Sun?

It's been rainy and dreary here since Sunday. On Sunday I liked it, but by now it's gotten old. We haven't seen the sun since Saturday and I haven't been able to wake up in the morning all week. The weatherman keeps saying we'll see the sun each day, but then it never materializes. I haven't sent my laptop in for repairs yet. I can start it up plugged in now, so that's a lot better. But the number four key still won't work. I think that's the only problem left. Eventually I'll send it in for repairs, but I'm so behind on a lot of computer stuff, I don't like to be without it. For those that have found my blog by searching for LisaJH's Bridget Jones Fan Fiction, it disappeared from the old website a few months ago, but I've found something even better. SFaith on Live Journal posted a new Bridget fan fic story this week. It's a continuation of one of her previous stories. I highly recommend. I'm late for work thi...

Been Busy with Bridget Jones Fan Fiction

Sorry I haven't been around. Things have been busy around here with painting walls, working and such. What free time I've had has been spent enjoying the Bridget Jones fan fiction found at SFaith's LiveJournal site . She posts on fanfiction.net but there is a lot of stories on her livejournal site that weren't posted. She is an awesome writer of BJD fan fic. I get totally lost in it. OK. I can't understand where all the other icons on my toolbar went for writing posts on blogger? I have spell check and insert a picture. All the other formatting and creating links are gone! That's why I didn't create a link to sfaith's website. I can't seem to do it. Another reason to push me to doing more with my mac and posting my blog elsewhere. If I ever do, I'll leave a trail of breadcrumbs behind. We have our 8-year-old nephew until later this afternoon. Him and Phoebe had a two night sleepover. We took them out to dinner last night and it was ...

Cuteness Alert

Phoebe did the cutest thing last night when she was stalling to fall asleep in bed. I was downstairs and she called me to come back up. She sounded like she was trapped under something, so I came quickly... turns out she was just calling from under her blankets. First she asked me to kiss the palm of her left hand. Then she asked me to kiss the palm of her right hand. Then she took each palm and put them on the cheeks of her face, like she was pressing the kisses into her cheeks. Too cute!!!! Well, my hair is officially red now. I got a different haircut too with some long sweepy bangs on both sides. Poor Tom, he's trying to get used to it. Phoebe of course loves it, because like me, being a girl is all about makeovers!!!! I've really been loving reading fan fiction these days. My latest is under the Gone with the Wind section, but it's a changing/continuation of Scarlett, the sequel to GWTW that was done in the last decade or so. I read it twice and absolutely l...

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Wishing all my blog friends a very Happy Thanksgiving and in honor of the hols tomorrow, here is my list of Things I'm Thankful For: My darling DH who puts up with my strange behavior and pursuits and loves me all the more every day. My DD who has helped me on my journey to learn patience and how to look at life through a child's eyes. My family, my side as well as the in-laws, who remind me that all families are crazy and isn't that terrific! My friends, who help fill my life with laughter and good times (usually over few bottles of wine). My on-line friends, for their support, advice, and making me realize I'm not alone. My obscure thanks are for: My yoga teacher, for helping me realize my inner self and calm my mind from the stress of life. My acupuncturist, for supporting my quest for fertility and overall health. Bridget Jones and the Bridget Jones Fan Fiction website for entertaining me endlessly. Colin Firth for being an outstanding actor and really nice to look ...

Proud Mama

Phoebe had her ice skating class last night and she's doing very well. I'm so proud, my heart could burst. She started ice skating classes in January this year. She has progressed so well very quickly. Last night they were learning the first step in cross-overs, as well as beginning to learn to pick up one foot while gliding. She's not as good in the latter as she was with cross-overs. When she had extra practice time with me, she was trying to do them while skating and holding my hand. I think what I like the most is that she's having fun with it, learning how to do things with her physical being and that it can be fun. We don't have her signed up for anything else other than ice skating, and she does yoga with me a home. I'd rather have her focus on one activity and give it her all if she likes it. The liking it is very important. Every week I feel so sorry for this one little girl. Her mom makes her practice the whole 1/2 hour of free time on the ...
