PG - 18 Weeks 5 Days - Working from Home

I'm working from home today again, but this time it's because Phoebe's school is closed for a Teacher's Inservice. She's so happy to have an extra day off school. It's so cute to see how young the love of a weekend and long weekends starts. I just took a break from work to eat 2nd breakfast. I've already done two conference calls this morning and was starting to get hungry. I'm still a little congested from the cold, but I'm also getting to that point where the cough gets bad. I had when colds get like that. Hopefully lots of tea (herbal of course!) with lemon and honey will help the cough go away.

And I don't mean to complain, but I have to admit my size is definitely increasing faster than when I was pregnant with Phoebe. I'm almost 19 weeks, but I feel like I'm currently about as big as I was with Phoebe when I was 6-7 months pregnant. The second trimester with twins is definitely not a comfortable time. By the end of the day, I feel like my belly is so heavy. I know at the ultrasound this week they estimated the babies each at 9 oz, but by the end of the day, it feels like they are much bigger than that. I'm nervous about how I'm going to get around as I get bigger. But I'm really excited about getting to the end. Not for it to be over, but for them to be here already.

I suppose it doesn't seem like it to you, but to me your pregnancy is just flying by. You're almost half way there already!!
You never complain! I bet you are getting bigger faster. Did you use a Bellybelt w/Phoebe? I did with my boys, it helped. Have a Great Weekend!
I nominated you for an Award, please stop by my blog for the details, thank you!

A Mexican friend of our had twins. From the 2nd month she kept saying that she was much bigger than she was with her first. Somehow they did not detect the 2 babies until she was at about 7 months. She was in shock. Of course we could go back to when women my age were having babies and my friend didn't know she was having twins until they were delivered. Talk about a shock......Oh yes indeed.

Bouncing Back From Depression

I've been pretty depressed lately. Monday I hit my all time low, which coincidentally was also my dad's birthday. Needless to say I'm sure I'm on his not favorite child list as I forgot to call him I was so depressed. This whole two mortgage thing with no contract in site is really frustrating. Especially when lots of other houses on our block are selling. Our house is really very lovely, just no pool. It has a really flat backyard perfect for putting a pool in though. Anyway, on Monday, Mom called to make sure I didn't forget to call Dad and tell me she read my blog over the weekend and sent me an email about it. Sorry, Mom, I still have yet to check my emails to see what you had to say. Mom told me I needed to bury a statue of St. Joseph in the yard to get it to sell quicker. Wish I knew that sooner. I was going to wait for her to mail me hers, but yesterday I got really mad at myself and wanted to do something to improve my situation, so I found the nea...

Bad Dreams Go Away Magic Spell

Wow! Two posts in one day!!! I just had to blog about this. Indigo Girl had posted about her daughter having bad dreams and looking for advice. I had to post what we do in our house to keep away bad dreams. I have to admit it was one of my most brilliant mommy moments as I pulled this one out of my a$$ when I came up with it. When Phoebe was about 3 or 4 years old, she started complaining about nightmares. I knew it was half true and half stalling for bedtime. She has always been very into witches, wizards and spells (heck she was named after the character on Charmed and my due date was Halloween), so I came up with a magic spell on the spot to keep away bad dreams. I figured all it had to do was rhyme. I will share it with you all and feel free to try it if you need it: Bad dreams, bad dreams go away In Phoebe's dreams she must play She should dream of ice cream and cake Until the morning when she wakes She loves it! She still asks for it sometimes if she's had a ni...

The Boys Are Here!!!

I'm trying to post this from the hospital Internet access, but I will be able to do this announcement better justice from home, but it is a very odd, but short birth story. They came so fast and furious there was nothing anyone could do. But the boys are in the NICU and doing well. They were born at 31 weeks 5 days gestation on 5/29/2009. I will post their names and information (no comments on names unless you like them, LOL): Baby A: Thomas Michael III born at 2:09 AM Weight - 3 lbs, 15 1/2 oz Length - 18 inches Baby B: Liam Jonathan born at 2:20 AM Weight - 4 lbs, 1.4 oz Length - 17 1/4 inches long Just a word on their health, Thomas's breathing is doing well and he did not need any help in that area so far. I had two steroid shots from when I was admitted until before they were born, so I think that helped. Liam was intubated and given surfactant when he arrived in the NICU and is now on CPAP, although he can't stand having the tubes in his nose. Both are under t...
