Updated Pics!

We've still been amazingly busy. I've been working hard on my Flylady routines both at home and work. I've taken my new timer (that has a vibrate mode!) to work and it's been great for my productivity in the office. A great example at home is that last night I set my timer for 15 minutes and I got the dinner dishes done, setup the coffee pot, shined my sink and wiped down the kitchen counters. I couldn't believe I got all that done in 15 minutes. I got the beginning of the month bills done in two 15 minute sessions.

This past Saturday, I cleaned out the closets in the boys' room. I had Phoebe's old clothes and the old baby clothes that don't fit the boys anymore. Phoebe's old clothes were either given to a friend's daughter (sizes 4, 5, 6 and some 7s) and anything smaller than a 4 went to a Goodwill bag. I separated the old baby clothes into either a bin for consignment or Goodwill. My car trunk is full right now and I'm going to try to get to Goodwill at lunchtime. I'm so proud of me! Now the boys room is much cleaner. We have two bins setup one for toys and one for stuffed animals.

Sunday, we went to church early (8AM!) and then went out to breakfast at Perkins and then went pumpkin picking with our friends. Here are some cute pics. Here's Tom and the boys. They really liked the hayride pulled by the tractor:

Twin pumpkins/twin boys (Tommy is on the left, Liam on the right)

Here's Phoebe and our friend's daughter (the one that got Phoebe's old clothes). She's a cutie patootie.

Here's another good pic of DH and the boys:

Here's a good pic of all of us on the hayride back.

Tommy and Liam also enjoyed riding in a wagon with their sister to get back to the car.

In all the pics of Phoebe, she does have the new appliance from the orthodontist in her mouth. She just got it and she's supposed to wear it at night, but it keeps falling out, so over the weekend, she wore it a bit during the day. It's not a retainer. I can't spell what it's called, but it's bringing her bottom jaw forward. She's being very responsible about the whole thing, so I'm really proud of her!

I can't wait to take the girls to the farm!! Did the boys enjoy it or are they still not thrilled with the world outside their house?

Good for you getting all that done! This weekend I tidied the girls' room and was amazed at all the stuff we had that needed to go! I hope the clothes situation gets easier as they get older...who am I kidding?!

And is it just me, or are the boys starting to resemble eachother now that their hair is longer?

Great pictures, the boys are getting so big and your daughter is a young lady, wow!!
Heather, I know I say this every time you post pics but seriously, those boys are GORGEOUS!

Actually your whole family is. Better watch the boys around Phoebe.

Tommy's spiky hair is SO cute - I want to run my fingers through it.

you're doing great with your routines. I am getting tougher on myself with the computer....:)

I haven't read many blogs for a few months and I was so delighted when I opened yours. The babies are little boys now. So adorable. And your daughter is beautiful. But you do have your hands FULL with family and job.

All 3 of them are getting to be so grown up. ;-)

My sisters twins are nearly hear. I am starting to get scared for her and me with helping her. lol

Glad things are going well!
Your little guys are looking so big and boy-like! I can't wait to do a hayride. I'm also inspired by your timer thing. I've looked into Flylady and was a bit intimidated before, but sounds pretty useful.

Love your pictures! The boys are getting so big! We haven't made it to the pumpkin patch yet, but I am hoping to go this weekend or next. It's just not fall without pumpkin pictures!

Bouncing Back From Depression

I've been pretty depressed lately. Monday I hit my all time low, which coincidentally was also my dad's birthday. Needless to say I'm sure I'm on his not favorite child list as I forgot to call him I was so depressed. This whole two mortgage thing with no contract in site is really frustrating. Especially when lots of other houses on our block are selling. Our house is really very lovely, just no pool. It has a really flat backyard perfect for putting a pool in though. Anyway, on Monday, Mom called to make sure I didn't forget to call Dad and tell me she read my blog over the weekend and sent me an email about it. Sorry, Mom, I still have yet to check my emails to see what you had to say. Mom told me I needed to bury a statue of St. Joseph in the yard to get it to sell quicker. Wish I knew that sooner. I was going to wait for her to mail me hers, but yesterday I got really mad at myself and wanted to do something to improve my situation, so I found the nea...

Bad Dreams Go Away Magic Spell

Wow! Two posts in one day!!! I just had to blog about this. Indigo Girl had posted about her daughter having bad dreams and looking for advice. I had to post what we do in our house to keep away bad dreams. I have to admit it was one of my most brilliant mommy moments as I pulled this one out of my a$$ when I came up with it. When Phoebe was about 3 or 4 years old, she started complaining about nightmares. I knew it was half true and half stalling for bedtime. She has always been very into witches, wizards and spells (heck she was named after the character on Charmed and my due date was Halloween), so I came up with a magic spell on the spot to keep away bad dreams. I figured all it had to do was rhyme. I will share it with you all and feel free to try it if you need it: Bad dreams, bad dreams go away In Phoebe's dreams she must play She should dream of ice cream and cake Until the morning when she wakes She loves it! She still asks for it sometimes if she's had a ni...

The Boys Are Here!!!

I'm trying to post this from the hospital Internet access, but I will be able to do this announcement better justice from home, but it is a very odd, but short birth story. They came so fast and furious there was nothing anyone could do. But the boys are in the NICU and doing well. They were born at 31 weeks 5 days gestation on 5/29/2009. I will post their names and information (no comments on names unless you like them, LOL): Baby A: Thomas Michael III born at 2:09 AM Weight - 3 lbs, 15 1/2 oz Length - 18 inches Baby B: Liam Jonathan born at 2:20 AM Weight - 4 lbs, 1.4 oz Length - 17 1/4 inches long Just a word on their health, Thomas's breathing is doing well and he did not need any help in that area so far. I had two steroid shots from when I was admitted until before they were born, so I think that helped. Liam was intubated and given surfactant when he arrived in the NICU and is now on CPAP, although he can't stand having the tubes in his nose. Both are under t...
