Exhausted! AKA - Thank Goodness for Long Weekends!

The clothes were mostly for Phoebe as the boys uniforms were ordered already, but the school supplies were for everyone, and boy did that ever total up to a hefty sum.  Back to school season must be to Staples, what Christmas holidays are for every other store.  We did also have to buy more stuff for the boys as I didn't know they could wear shorts in the beginning of the year and that they needed an outfit for gym class once a week.  Old Navy was completely out of navy blue shorts, but Target had six pairs in a size 5, which will be perfect.  I always do laundry mid-week as well as weekends, so they only need three days worth.

But the fun stuff we did as a family was great!  We took them fishing off the coast of Cape May.  It was just a four hour boat trip, which is perfect for their attention level right now.  They also really needed a hair cut in these photos:

We also got the opportunity to see two bald headed eagles that made their home on the New Jersey shore.

Both boys did catch small sharks.  They needed to be put back into the water.

After fishing, we went into town (Cape May) for lunch

Mid week, we took the kids to a baseball game in Philadelphia.  It was the boys first baseball game.  They got to run the bases on the field after the game was over.

It was a fun week, but between the excitement of last week with stuff to do and this week with going to school, I'm exhausted!  I got caught up a little on sleep last night, so now I'm off to get my vegetable garden weeded and cleaned up!  I started this morning with the boys outside with me and it was tough as they kept getting mad at each other.  I'm going to try to leave them inside for some quiet time this afternoon and I'll go out and get the job done!

Sheesh! Relax :)

Hope you got your garden sorted - I know what it's like when the kids get ornery!

The Boys Are Here!!!

I'm trying to post this from the hospital Internet access, but I will be able to do this announcement better justice from home, but it is a very odd, but short birth story. They came so fast and furious there was nothing anyone could do. But the boys are in the NICU and doing well. They were born at 31 weeks 5 days gestation on 5/29/2009. I will post their names and information (no comments on names unless you like them, LOL): Baby A: Thomas Michael III born at 2:09 AM Weight - 3 lbs, 15 1/2 oz Length - 18 inches Baby B: Liam Jonathan born at 2:20 AM Weight - 4 lbs, 1.4 oz Length - 17 1/4 inches long Just a word on their health, Thomas's breathing is doing well and he did not need any help in that area so far. I had two steroid shots from when I was admitted until before they were born, so I think that helped. Liam was intubated and given surfactant when he arrived in the NICU and is now on CPAP, although he can't stand having the tubes in his nose. Both are under t...

Here's Phoebe's 5th Grade School Picture.  I really like her in red or bright colors.  She's definitely becoming quite the little lady.

IVF#2 - It Worked!!!!

OK all my Internet bloggy friends!!!! I'm pregnant with the best initial beta I've ever had!!! Could that mean multiples? We'll find out over the next week or two for sure. My initial beta was 660! I can't believe it! I'm so excited I want to cry. I was so nervous. I didn't want to test before I went there because of all the hcg boosts I had. And I was really starting to doubt if it would really work out or if I was going to have a major disappointment today. I go back on Thursday for a repeat beta and we'll see if we're doubling or better. Leo made a prediction last night of twins. I wonder if he's right. Of course we just want at least one healthy baby, but healthy boy/girl twins would be like winning the lottery. Of course we'll want to win the lottery to support them, but I'm like Scarlett O'Hara in that perspective - "I'll think about that tomorrow!"
