Dirty Little Sea Crab

We've been really busy at our house over the weekend. I took Friday off and ran lots of errands. Tom had school Friday and Saturday. Saturday I cleaned the house and did the bills. We went out to dinner Saturday night to celebrate the sale of the old house. Sunday we put the weight system together. Lots of pulleys to remember how the cables all went around them. Tom and I fought because he was all cranky. We fixed it all Monday night talking while I made dinner and Phoebe was out playing with her friends. I understand where he's coming from, but really, really hate when he gets all cranky and then I'm not happy to be around him anymore. But like I said we're OK now. I know it's stress. I just need to keep reminding him how to take a chill pill and have fun.

Funny thing happened the other day with Phoebe. You know how sometimes you think the people singing a song are saying something, and it's really something completely different? Oh, that's just me? Well now it's Phoebe too. We were listening to the radio and the song "Dirty Little Secret" came on. Phoebe starts singing "I'll give you my dirty little sea crab." I guess that's the Little Mermaid version of the song!

The Boys Are Here!!!

I'm trying to post this from the hospital Internet access, but I will be able to do this announcement better justice from home, but it is a very odd, but short birth story. They came so fast and furious there was nothing anyone could do. But the boys are in the NICU and doing well. They were born at 31 weeks 5 days gestation on 5/29/2009. I will post their names and information (no comments on names unless you like them, LOL): Baby A: Thomas Michael III born at 2:09 AM Weight - 3 lbs, 15 1/2 oz Length - 18 inches Baby B: Liam Jonathan born at 2:20 AM Weight - 4 lbs, 1.4 oz Length - 17 1/4 inches long Just a word on their health, Thomas's breathing is doing well and he did not need any help in that area so far. I had two steroid shots from when I was admitted until before they were born, so I think that helped. Liam was intubated and given surfactant when he arrived in the NICU and is now on CPAP, although he can't stand having the tubes in his nose. Both are under t...

Phoebe's Fifth Grade School Picture

Here's Phoebe's 5th Grade School Picture.  I really like her in red or bright colors.  She's definitely becoming quite the little lady.

IVF#2 - It Worked!!!!

OK all my Internet bloggy friends!!!! I'm pregnant with the best initial beta I've ever had!!! Could that mean multiples? We'll find out over the next week or two for sure. My initial beta was 660! I can't believe it! I'm so excited I want to cry. I was so nervous. I didn't want to test before I went there because of all the hcg boosts I had. And I was really starting to doubt if it would really work out or if I was going to have a major disappointment today. I go back on Thursday for a repeat beta and we'll see if we're doubling or better. Leo made a prediction last night of twins. I wonder if he's right. Of course we just want at least one healthy baby, but healthy boy/girl twins would be like winning the lottery. Of course we'll want to win the lottery to support them, but I'm like Scarlett O'Hara in that perspective - "I'll think about that tomorrow!"
