Nope

Definately not this month. AF showed up late yesterday afternoon, after my temp dropped in the morning. I was hoping that I could add a lack of PMS symptoms to my victories, but unfortunately, I can't. Although they didn't show up until the day of the temp drop. I was so cranky yesterday. Definately not in a good mood. Today I'm feeling cranky, but on the upswing.

I recently watched pieces of "The Secret" online. It is extremely interesting. From a fertility aspect as well as a career and overall life aspect. It reinforces what I've always thought around the power of positive thinking, or as they like to call it "The Law of Attraction." I know I haven't exactly been the most positive person about other aspects of my life recently. I used to be such a positive person. In my senior year of high school, I was nastily voted for an unofficial class poll as "The Person Most Likely to Think They are Most Likely to Succeed." I knew they meant it to be mean, but I knew confidence is half the battle. I just want to get some of that confidence back. I think overall I protect myself by going into things with low expectations so I won't be hurt when I'm let down. I really must stop that.

Sorry this wasn't the month Heather. You are right though, a postive outlook is half the battle.

Hi Heather. Nice to find your blog. Here's the link to mine. http://tryingfornumbertwo.blogspot.com/. Check it out; I've recently posted about The Secret & fertility too. I relate to what you say about losing your confidence. I seem to have to work very hard at keeping my chin up as well as seeing the positives in the rest of my life. But somehow when I can get myself in that head-space of believing things are going to work out, I'm okay. Lynda

The Boys Are Here!!!

I'm trying to post this from the hospital Internet access, but I will be able to do this announcement better justice from home, but it is a very odd, but short birth story. They came so fast and furious there was nothing anyone could do. But the boys are in the NICU and doing well. They were born at 31 weeks 5 days gestation on 5/29/2009. I will post their names and information (no comments on names unless you like them, LOL): Baby A: Thomas Michael III born at 2:09 AM Weight - 3 lbs, 15 1/2 oz Length - 18 inches Baby B: Liam Jonathan born at 2:20 AM Weight - 4 lbs, 1.4 oz Length - 17 1/4 inches long Just a word on their health, Thomas's breathing is doing well and he did not need any help in that area so far. I had two steroid shots from when I was admitted until before they were born, so I think that helped. Liam was intubated and given surfactant when he arrived in the NICU and is now on CPAP, although he can't stand having the tubes in his nose. Both are under t...

Here's Phoebe's 5th Grade School Picture.  I really like her in red or bright colors.  She's definitely becoming quite the little lady.

IVF#2 - It Worked!!!!

OK all my Internet bloggy friends!!!! I'm pregnant with the best initial beta I've ever had!!! Could that mean multiples? We'll find out over the next week or two for sure. My initial beta was 660! I can't believe it! I'm so excited I want to cry. I was so nervous. I didn't want to test before I went there because of all the hcg boosts I had. And I was really starting to doubt if it would really work out or if I was going to have a major disappointment today. I go back on Thursday for a repeat beta and we'll see if we're doubling or better. Leo made a prediction last night of twins. I wonder if he's right. Of course we just want at least one healthy baby, but healthy boy/girl twins would be like winning the lottery. Of course we'll want to win the lottery to support them, but I'm like Scarlett O'Hara in that perspective - "I'll think about that tomorrow!"
