Updates

We've been busy and it's been great! Thursday we saw Gwen Stefani in concert. It was Tom, me, Phoebe and SIL. It was a full circle for me seeing her in concert with DD. When I was pregnant with her seven years ago and I found out I was having a girl, I used to play "I'm just a Girl" in the car at the top of my lungs for her. She loves Gwen as much as I do. I think one of my favorite parts was when she sang "4 in the Morning" which is my current favorite song. I cried my eyes out when she sang that song. We got home really late Thursday night and spent both Friday and Saturday still recovering.

Sunday we went to the Philadelphia Zoo (we're members) with another family we're friends with. They have a daughter Phoebe's age. The girls had a great time. The gorillas were having a great time chasing each other all over the place. They were outside, inside, over and under. The girls kept walking all over the different areas to watch the gorillas just to keep up with them. I got a great picture of a python yawning. And the kids especially had a great time for the opening of the Children's Zoo. It was closed the last time we all went in the fall. The girls had pony rides and I got some great pics of that too.

Today we went to see the new Pirates of the Caribbean. I don't understand what the issue is with the people reviewing this movie. I thought it was awesome! It was long and there were some parts that were a bit longer than they had to be, but it still is a great story and the characters and the things they do are so cool. Definately left you with the feeling that it didn't have to be over yet.

Wasn't the concert just fab! We saw it a few weeks ago! :D I wish I could go see the new Pirates movie! I guess we have to wait for video! No movies for us for a while. :D

The Boys Are Here!!!

I'm trying to post this from the hospital Internet access, but I will be able to do this announcement better justice from home, but it is a very odd, but short birth story. They came so fast and furious there was nothing anyone could do. But the boys are in the NICU and doing well. They were born at 31 weeks 5 days gestation on 5/29/2009. I will post their names and information (no comments on names unless you like them, LOL): Baby A: Thomas Michael III born at 2:09 AM Weight - 3 lbs, 15 1/2 oz Length - 18 inches Baby B: Liam Jonathan born at 2:20 AM Weight - 4 lbs, 1.4 oz Length - 17 1/4 inches long Just a word on their health, Thomas's breathing is doing well and he did not need any help in that area so far. I had two steroid shots from when I was admitted until before they were born, so I think that helped. IVF#2 - It Worked!!!!

OK all my Internet bloggy friends!!!! I'm pregnant with the best initial beta I've ever had!!! Could that mean multiples? We'll find out over the next week or two for sure. My initial beta was 660! I can't believe it! I'm so excited I want to cry. I was so nervous. I didn't want to test before I went there because of all the hcg boosts I had. And I was really starting to doubt if it would really work out or if I was going to have a major disappointment today. I go back on Thursday for a repeat beta and we'll see if we're doubling or better. Leo made a prediction last night of twins. I wonder if he's right. Of course we just want at least one healthy baby, but healthy boy/girl twins would be like winning the lottery. Of course we'll want to win the lottery to support them, but I'm like Scarlett O'Hara in that perspective - "I'll think about that tomorrow!"
