3 Year Checkup Picture and Sleeping Update


I got a great picture of the boys Friday morning before we went to the pediatrician for their 3 year checkup.  I will admit to bribing them with M&Ms to get a good photo.  Who would have thought that day they drove me insane with how crazy they were because of lack of sleep!  They have been going to bed early now.  They used to go to bed at 7PM.  Now they are ready for bed by 5:30 - 6PM.  It's crazy, but the past two nights, they have fallen asleep right away, thanks to the blackout curtains we bought at Walmart.  They might not be napping; however, bedtime is happening and they are getting back to being pleasant again during the day.

Update from the appointment is that Tommy is 3' 2 1/2" and almost 35 lbs.  Liam is 3' 1/2" and almost 28 lbs.  All is healthy and their development is on target.  Now as long as they keep sleeping, they will continue to be happy too.

And I have totally become the mother who bribes. Granted, for most people, this wouldn't be a proper bribe (I bribe with raisins :)) but it works for me!

Also, thanks for the reminder - I better make their 3-year appt :)

Such CUTE boys! Glad the sleeping is going better. Some days I would trade nap for an early bedtime, but on the days I'm home, I LOVE naps.

I need to check on some blackout curtains, now that it's still light out at 8:30!

Tall boys! It's amazing the difference in weights.

They're super handsome. You'll have to fight off the ladies soon.

I'm trying to post this from the hospital Internet access, but I will be able to do this announcement better justice from home, but it is a very odd, but short birth story. They came so fast and furious there was nothing anyone could do. But the boys are in the NICU and doing well. They were born at 31 weeks 5 days gestation on 5/29/2009. I will post their names and information (no comments on names unless you like them, LOL): Baby A: Thomas Michael III born at 2:09 AM Weight - 3 lbs, 15 1/2 oz Length - 18 inches Baby B: Liam Jonathan born at 2:20 AM Weight - 4 lbs, 1.4 oz Length - 17 1/4 inches long Just a word on their health, Thomas's breathing is doing well and he did not need any help in that area so far. IVF#2 - It Worked!!!!

OK all my Internet bloggy friends!!!! I'm pregnant with the best initial beta I've ever had!!! Could that mean multiples? We'll find out over the next week or two for sure. My initial beta was 660! I can't believe it! I'm so excited I want to cry. I was so nervous. I didn't want to test before I went there because of all the hcg boosts I had. And I was really starting to doubt if it would really work out or if I was going to have a major disappointment today. I go back on Thursday for a repeat beta and we'll see if we're doubling or better. Leo made a prediction last night of twins. I wonder if he's right. Of course we just want at least one healthy baby, but healthy boy/girl twins would be like winning the lottery. Of course we'll want to win the lottery to support them, but I'm like Scarlett O'Hara in that perspective - "I'll think about that tomorrow!"
