Menu Monday

I found a new blog through Trace. The new blog is Organizing Junkie. I'm going to participate in her Menu Monday (I'm also stealing her menu for Tuesday - sounds great!). Here's my menu for our house this week:

Monday - Stuffed Red Peppers (ground beef and rice with tomato sauce), crusty bread
Tuesday - Slow Cooked Thai Chicken, brocolli and rice
Wednesday - Sausage, roma bean and hominy soup (DH made on Sunday) and grilled cheese
Thursday - Fajitas, black beans and rice
Friday - Homemade sausage pizza

I really like that blog too and I like the recipe you listed. As you know I love my crockpot! I have such a hard time meal planning. I always want to do it, but have a hard time following through.

Well, how is it going? Are you sticking w/your meal plan? I haven't even planned one this week and luckily we have a number of 'pantry staples' so it's been fine. I love the flash frozen chicken breasts that are each in separate ziploc type containers. Even hormone free ones (my little obsession w/meat and milk).

And, how is the monthly cycle going? Lot and lots of nookie happening at the right time?

The Boys Are Here!!!

I'm trying to post this from the hospital Internet access, but I will be able to do this announcement better justice from home, but it is a very odd, but short birth story. They came so fast and furious there was nothing anyone could do. But the boys are in the NICU and doing well. They were born at 31 weeks 5 days gestation on 5/29/2009. I will post their names and information (no comments on names unless you like them, LOL): Baby A: Thomas Michael III born at 2:09 AM Weight - 3 lbs, 15 1/2 oz Length - 18 inches Baby B: Liam Jonathan born at 2:20 AM Weight - 4 lbs, 1.4 oz Length - 17 1/4 inches long Just a word on their health, Thomas's breathing is doing well and he did not need any help in that area so far. I had two steroid shots from when I was admitted until before they were born, so I think that helped. Liam was intubated and given surfactant when he arrived in the NICU and is now on CPAP, although he can't stand having the tubes in his nose. Both are under t...

Here's Phoebe's 5th Grade School Picture.  I really like her in red or bright colors.  She's definitely becoming quite the little lady.

IVF#2 - It Worked!!!!

OK all my Internet bloggy friends!!!! I'm pregnant with the best initial beta I've ever had!!! Could that mean multiples? We'll find out over the next week or two for sure. My initial beta was 660! I can't believe it! I'm so excited I want to cry. I was so nervous. I didn't want to test before I went there because of all the hcg boosts I had. And I was really starting to doubt if it would really work out or if I was going to have a major disappointment today. I go back on Thursday for a repeat beta and we'll see if we're doubling or better. Leo made a prediction last night of twins. I wonder if he's right. Of course we just want at least one healthy baby, but healthy boy/girl twins would be like winning the lottery. Of course we'll want to win the lottery to support them, but I'm like Scarlett O'Hara in that perspective - "I'll think about that tomorrow!"
