Here We Go Again

AF started yesterday! I'm very excited to get this show on the road. I left a message for the IVF coordinators yesterday morning and I still haven't heard back from them. I'm sure it's that they are trying to firm up my protocol with the doctor, so I'm not terribly worried, but I did leave them another message this morning. I believe I'm supposed to start BCPs tomorrow morning and do that for two weeks. After AF starts after I stop the BCPs, we start injectibles! So it's looking like we'll be officially started IVF #2 towards the middle of the month.

I'm looking forward to it. But I know I've got to clean up my eating habits. I've been working hard to stay relaxed lately and that's going well. Keeping my to-do list organized and up-to-date, watching some really cool TV shows with Leo. Right now I'm addicted to TrueBlood. I don't know if I've ever mentioned my love of vampire stories. I think it has to do with loving SciFi and Fantasy type books and stories. I've read all of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, which are my particular favorite, but I'm noticing there are a few new vampire shows/movies coming out that are based on series of books I didn't know about. Must check them out.

Also, I was completely addicted to Lost in Austen from ITV in England. I was able to watch the first two episodes on YouTube, but then they got pulled, so Google helped me find a site that could show me the last two episodes. I'd be more than happy to watch it on ITV's website, but since I'm not in England it won't let me watch from there. I do love Austen and I thought this was an entertaining piece of escapism as I think every girl wants to fall in love with Mr. Darcy. The only part that annoyed me is I hated the main character's hairdo. A bonnet doesn't look very becoming when you still have your stick-straight hair in your face. Anyway...

But every girl falls in love with Darcy. I married a Darcy. Tall, dark and handsome, a bit shy which some people think is snobbery, but then he'll talk your ear off if he gets to know you. Funny thing is I hadn't read Pride and Prejudice until after I got married, so I didn't know he was just like Darcy until after the fact. I was too busy in college reading Engineering books. I had a list of novels I wanted to read after I graduated and it took me some time to get through them all. I read every Austen novel, the entire Dune series and every Anne Rice novel I could find.

I devoured the vampire chronicles too although I quit them a few years ago. I think Pandora was the last one I read. There was something romantic about them wasn't there?

I've never heard of that ITV series and I'll definitely be looking for it! I'm a diehard Mr. Darcy fan. I watch the BBC P&P series at least once a year or so and have read the book multiple times.

Last but not least... good luck with the upcoming cycle!
We are similar tastes in books and TV.(The hairdo drove me to distraction too, the hair dresser on the set should have been shot.) Best Wishes for this cycle and glad AF is here.

Check out Laurel Hamilton and the Anita Blake series.

I'm excited for you! Try not to beat yourself up about the eating thing. It's so hard to always eat nutritiously. Especially if you have a social life. IF stuff is so stressful and wearing. If you remove all fun stuff like food and alcohol it just makes it harder to deal with. I guess I think moderation...

I also loved and read all of the Anne Rice books. I have been watching True Blood too but parts of it irk me.

I just recently read all of the Stephanie Meyers Twilight series which were excellent. I definitely recommend those plus the 1st book will be out as a movie in November.

Good luck with this cycle!!

Yay for a new cycle!! I hope it is successful!! And don't worry so much about the food thing-be sensible and eat as healthy as you can most of the time. But no negative thoughts if you treat yourself once in a while!
I love your description of your Darcy. Awesome. Good luck with your IVF!! I hope this is the cycle.

Bouncing Back From Depression

I've been pretty depressed lately. Monday I hit my all time low, which coincidentally was also my dad's birthday. Needless to say I'm sure I'm on his not favorite child list as I forgot to call him I was so depressed. This whole two mortgage thing with no contract in site is really frustrating. Especially when lots of other houses on our block are selling. Our house is really very lovely, just no pool. It has a really flat backyard perfect for putting a pool in though. Anyway, on Monday, Mom called to make sure I didn't forget to call Dad and tell me she read my blog over the weekend and sent me an email about it. Sorry, Mom, I still have yet to check my emails to see what you had to say. Mom told me I needed to bury a statue of St. Joseph in the yard to get it to sell quicker. Wish I knew that sooner. I was going to wait for her to mail me hers, but yesterday I got really mad at myself and wanted to do something to improve my situation, so I found the nea...

Bad Dreams Go Away Magic Spell

Wow! Two posts in one day!!! I just had to blog about this. Indigo Girl had posted about her daughter having bad dreams and looking for advice. I had to post what we do in our house to keep away bad dreams. I have to admit it was one of my most brilliant mommy moments as I pulled this one out of my a$$ when I came up with it. When Phoebe was about 3 or 4 years old, she started complaining about nightmares. I knew it was half true and half stalling for bedtime. She has always been very into witches, wizards and spells (heck she was named after the character on Charmed and my due date was Halloween), so I came up with a magic spell on the spot to keep away bad dreams. I figured all it had to do was rhyme. I will share it with you all and feel free to try it if you need it: Bad dreams, bad dreams go away In Phoebe's dreams she must play She should dream of ice cream and cake Until the morning when she wakes She loves it! She still asks for it sometimes if she's had a ni...

The Boys Are Here!!!

I'm trying to post this from the hospital Internet access, but I will be able to do this announcement better justice from home, but it is a very odd, but short birth story. They came so fast and furious there was nothing anyone could do. But the boys are in the NICU and doing well. They were born at 31 weeks 5 days gestation on 5/29/2009. I will post their names and information (no comments on names unless you like them, LOL): Baby A: Thomas Michael III born at 2:09 AM Weight - 3 lbs, 15 1/2 oz Length - 18 inches Baby B: Liam Jonathan born at 2:20 AM Weight - 4 lbs, 1.4 oz Length - 17 1/4 inches long Just a word on their health, Thomas's breathing is doing well and he did not need any help in that area so far. I had two steroid shots from when I was admitted until before they were born, so I think that helped. Liam was intubated and given surfactant when he arrived in the NICU and is now on CPAP, although he can't stand having the tubes in his nose. Both are under t...
