Weekend Not So Good

The weekend was definately not relaxing. We went to a baseball game in Reading, PA and my wallet was either lost or stolen from my purse. Considering I was carrying my "Mommy purse" which is one big pit with lots of papers, straws, napkins, etc. I have no idea how it happened. I've never had anything like that happen to me before. We canceled everything immediately while we were at the game, frantically (but carefully) looked through all the places we had been during the one hour I can pinpoint when it went missing and talked to the baseball stadium staff. I know exactly when it went missing because I gave DH some of the MAC money during the fourth inning and then an hour later when I went to get some money out to buy glow sticks for the kids it was gone!

And of course the rest of the weekend was a mess. DH and I have been disagreeing a lot lately. I know we love each other and it will totally blow over, but until then, he gets on my nerves. I'm sure a lot of this has to do with end of the summer stress. I can't wait for DD to start school next Tuesday and for life to get back to normal.

Today, I'm working from home and I'm trying to be upbeat. I have a lot of things to do today, including going to the DMV to get a new license. I'm going to call the Reading police today to see what I need to do, if I should file a police report and such.

So you need to get to the bottom in order to climb back to the top, right? I so hope things go better for me soon. I seem to be having a lot of bad luck lately.

Ugh, that sucks! Atleast you realized quickly and were able to do damage control.

I've been to the Reading Phillies and we had the best time! I thought the pool for the kids was pretty cool (hey that rhymes).

Sweetness was a bit distressed about the fertility stuff too. Oh, BTW, I would love to meet for coffee or whatever (maybe a trip to a local winery? Unless alcohol is somehow not on either of our potential baby regiments).

I know that was a horrible feeling to discover your wallet was gone, but like pp said, it's good you noticed quickly. I am so scatter-brained lately, I probably wouldn't know it for a week!!
Sorry there is some tension; hopefully things will be better once you guys get back into your school-year routine. I've heard from so many parents how crazy the summers can get with the kids having so much free time. Five more years and I'll see for myself!

That really is a lot to take in all at once. Hope things start looking up very soon.

Replacing everything in your wallet must be a pain. Can you at least go great a great new wallet? An excuse to shop?

OMG, that stinks! I'm so sorry, it sounds very suspicious that the wallet was in your bag an hour before it went missing.

I hope your week turns around. I'm sure it will. Hang in there.

I'm thinking of you, thank you for your continued support. I really apprecaite it.

I had my purse stolen once. Not only is it scary, it's a PITA to have to cancel everything and replace everything else. I hope you're doing okay.

That sucks! Make sure you put a fraud alert on your credit report at the different agencies.

Bouncing Back From Depression

I've been pretty depressed lately. Monday I hit my all time low, which coincidentally was also my dad's birthday. Needless to say I'm sure I'm on his not favorite child list as I forgot to call him I was so depressed. This whole two mortgage thing with no contract in site is really frustrating. Especially when lots of other houses on our block are selling. Our house is really very lovely, just no pool. It has a really flat backyard perfect for putting a pool in though. Anyway, on Monday, Mom called to make sure I didn't forget to call Dad and tell me she read my blog over the weekend and sent me an email about it. Sorry, Mom, I still have yet to check my emails to see what you had to say. Mom told me I needed to bury a statue of St. Joseph in the yard to get it to sell quicker. Wish I knew that sooner. I was going to wait for her to mail me hers, but yesterday I got really mad at myself and wanted to do something to improve my situation, so I found the nea...

Bad Dreams Go Away Magic Spell

Wow! Two posts in one day!!! I just had to blog about this. Indigo Girl had posted about her daughter having bad dreams and looking for advice. I had to post what we do in our house to keep away bad dreams. I have to admit it was one of my most brilliant mommy moments as I pulled this one out of my a$$ when I came up with it. When Phoebe was about 3 or 4 years old, she started complaining about nightmares. I knew it was half true and half stalling for bedtime. She has always been very into witches, wizards and spells (heck she was named after the character on Charmed and my due date was Halloween), so I came up with a magic spell on the spot to keep away bad dreams. I figured all it had to do was rhyme. I will share it with you all and feel free to try it if you need it: Bad dreams, bad dreams go away In Phoebe's dreams she must play She should dream of ice cream and cake Until the morning when she wakes She loves it! She still asks for it sometimes if she's had a ni...

The Boys Are Here!!!

I'm trying to post this from the hospital Internet access, but I will be able to do this announcement better justice from home, but it is a very odd, but short birth story. They came so fast and furious there was nothing anyone could do. But the boys are in the NICU and doing well. They were born at 31 weeks 5 days gestation on 5/29/2009. I will post their names and information (no comments on names unless you like them, LOL): Baby A: Thomas Michael III born at 2:09 AM Weight - 3 lbs, 15 1/2 oz Length - 18 inches Baby B: Liam Jonathan born at 2:20 AM Weight - 4 lbs, 1.4 oz Length - 17 1/4 inches long Just a word on their health, Thomas's breathing is doing well and he did not need any help in that area so far. I had two steroid shots from when I was admitted until before they were born, so I think that helped. Liam was intubated and given surfactant when he arrived in the NICU and is now on CPAP, although he can't stand having the tubes in his nose. Both are under t...
