A View To A Kill

I'm picking this up from Doctor Grumbles. I love my iPod and just had to see what this would come up with. It reminds me of Mad Libs, which I loved when I was a kid.

BTW, thanks for all the comments on my last post. I feel the love!!!!!

Here are the rules:

1.Put your iTunes/music player on “Shuffle”
2.For each question, press the “Next” button to get your answer
3.You MUST write down the name of THAT SONG no matter what. (aka NO CHEATING!)

Comments after a song in italics are allowed.
Okay, kids. Here we go…

IF SOMEONE SAYS “IS THIS OKAY” YOU SAY?
Love Me Do by the Beatles (???)

WHAT WOULD BEST DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY?
Was It Worth It? by the Pet Shop Boys (Well, I do love the Pet Shop Boys!)

WHAT DO YOU LIKE IN A GUY/GIRL?
Left To My Own Devices by the Pet Shop Boys (I don't like to be forced to behave in any one way by and significant other)

HOW DO YOU FEEL TODAY?
Anywhere Is by Enya (Anywhere is where I'd rather be today than at work. It's too nice outside)

WHAT IS YOUR LIFE’S PURPOSE?
Fluorescent by Gwen Stefani (Well, I do like to live colorfully!)

WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO?
Lisa Listen by Lisa Loeb (I try to listen more than talk. I talk too much, so just trying to listen more makes me seem more normal than the chatterbox that I am.)

WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS THINK OF YOU?
U Started It by Gwen Stefani (I do sing this to Leo sometimes. He is my friend.)

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR PARENTS?
That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore by The Smiths (I don't think I want to touch this one.)

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT VERY OFTEN?
Will You Love Me Tomorrow by Carole King (Not sure on this one. People do either love or hate me. I sometimes wonder which one I'm exposed to at a moment.)

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR BEST FRIEND?
Bathwater by No Doubt (Well, Leo is my best friend and I do love to wash in his bathwater, but I won't share his toothbrush, ick!)

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE PERSON YOU LIKE?
The Name of the Game by Abba (???)

WHAT IS YOUR LIFE STORY?
I Before E Except After C by Yazoo (I sometimes try to play by the rules too much)

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?
Rainbow Connection by Kermit the Frog (Oh this is perfect! I am a lover and a dreamer! That's what I want to be!)

WHAT DO YOU THINK WHEN YOU SEE THE PERSON YOU LIKE?
Dancing with Mephisto by Enigma (I do like to dance with Leo in the middle of the kitchen)

WHAT DO YOUR PARENTS THINK OF YOU?
Promises, Promises by Naked Eyes (not sure if I've kept them)

WHAT WILL YOU DANCE TO AT YOUR WEDDING?
Tesla Girls by OMD (well, Leo and I are both electrical engineers, but we danced to Forever Young by Alphaville)

WHAT WILL THEY PLAY AT YOUR FUNERAL?
Blues Away by Erasure (I do like this song. I hope I take someone's blues away.)

WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY/INTEREST?
Dance With Me by Alphaville (I do love to dance)

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST SECRET?
You Only Tell Me You Love Me When You're Drunk by the Pet Shop Boys (Oh boy! I wonder who's singing that!!!)

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR FRIENDS?
Within You Without You by the Beatles (???)

WHAT SHOULD YOU POST THIS AS?
A View To A Kill by Duran Duran (I do love James Bond theme music)

Feel free to do it, too! I'm not sure if all these made sense. I'm curious to see what other people get.

Those were kinda funny. Sorry I can't play along as I don't have an ipod or anything similar. I guess I am ipod deprived. :-)
My favorite is "The Joke isn't Funny Anymore" about your parents.

Bouncing Back From Depression

I've been pretty depressed lately. Monday I hit my all time low, which coincidentally was also my dad's birthday. Needless to say I'm sure I'm on his not favorite child list as I forgot to call him I was so depressed. This whole two mortgage thing with no contract in site is really frustrating. Especially when lots of other houses on our block are selling. Our house is really very lovely, just no pool. It has a really flat backyard perfect for putting a pool in though. Anyway, on Monday, Mom called to make sure I didn't forget to call Dad and tell me she read my blog over the weekend and sent me an email about it. Sorry, Mom, I still have yet to check my emails to see what you had to say. Mom told me I needed to bury a statue of St. Joseph in the yard to get it to sell quicker. Wish I knew that sooner. I was going to wait for her to mail me hers, but yesterday I got really mad at myself and wanted to do something to improve my situation, so I found the nea...

Bad Dreams Go Away Magic Spell

Wow! Two posts in one day!!! I just had to blog about this. Indigo Girl had posted about her daughter having bad dreams and looking for advice. I had to post what we do in our house to keep away bad dreams. I have to admit it was one of my most brilliant mommy moments as I pulled this one out of my a$$ when I came up with it. When Phoebe was about 3 or 4 years old, she started complaining about nightmares. I knew it was half true and half stalling for bedtime. She has always been very into witches, wizards and spells (heck she was named after the character on Charmed and my due date was Halloween), so I came up with a magic spell on the spot to keep away bad dreams. I figured all it had to do was rhyme. I will share it with you all and feel free to try it if you need it: Bad dreams, bad dreams go away In Phoebe's dreams she must play She should dream of ice cream and cake Until the morning when she wakes She loves it! She still asks for it sometimes if she's had a ni...

The Boys Are Here!!!

I'm trying to post this from the hospital Internet access, but I will be able to do this announcement better justice from home, but it is a very odd, but short birth story. They came so fast and furious there was nothing anyone could do. But the boys are in the NICU and doing well. They were born at 31 weeks 5 days gestation on 5/29/2009. I will post their names and information (no comments on names unless you like them, LOL): Baby A: Thomas Michael III born at 2:09 AM Weight - 3 lbs, 15 1/2 oz Length - 18 inches Baby B: Liam Jonathan born at 2:20 AM Weight - 4 lbs, 1.4 oz Length - 17 1/4 inches long Just a word on their health, Thomas's breathing is doing well and he did not need any help in that area so far. I had two steroid shots from when I was admitted until before they were born, so I think that helped. Liam was intubated and given surfactant when he arrived in the NICU and is now on CPAP, although he can't stand having the tubes in his nose. Both are under t...
