IVF CD5 and More Summer Camp Goodness

Last night, Night 2 of injections, was 2 of Bravelle and 1 of Menopur (spelling?). Ultrasound and bloodwork checks are tomorrow. I can't wait to see what's cooking inside. Their first estimate of retrieval is somewhere between July 17 - 19. We'll see how that goes. I know I'm usually an early ovulator, even when on injectibles and with these megadoses, who knows. Other than that I've been really good. I did break down and have a half decaf coffee yesterday morning at work. But I've been taking my vitamins and eating healthy. Next step is getting some exercise. I made pesto last night to have for dinner tonight. I'll post that recipe later today.

Phoebe had a rough day at camp yesterday. They want her to play a crocodile during a song they will perform on Friday "Never Smile at a Crocodile" from Peter Pan. She's the only one that gets to wear the crocodile costume and she has lines! Oh my goodness! She didn't want this part at all. I personally think she wasn't crazy about being in the spotlight, but "her teachers are making her do it" (these are her words, not mine!). I think they want her to work on being more comfortable performing solo than just with the group and this is their first babystep with her. I tried talking to her the whole ride home from work, but it didn't help. She went in to watch TV when we got in and I talked to DH on the side. He went and talked to her alone - I told him I was going to completely stay out of this conversation. I don't know what he said, but she came back into the kitchen where I was and had done a total 180. She was excited to be the crocodile! Couldn't wait to chase her tail on her costume, etc. Thank goodness for tag-team parenting!

Yummy yummy pesto! Hey, I think we're having that too for supper, especially it looks like the heavens will be opening later on today.....

Phoebe will make an AWESOME croc-that's one of my favorite numbers from Peter Pan-I teach it to my 3rd graders, and they always love to sing it...please post pics!!

Glad that the stimming is going well so far-hope those eggs are cooking away!

Uh oh, am I messing up by drinking decaf? That's what I switched to when I cut out regular. Let me know if I'm doing something that will hurt my chances...
Go, follies, Go! Pesto sounds wonderful. I have a recipe for roasted red pepper pesto with almonds that is fabulous, will have to post. Love the tag team parenting, you guys sound like a great team. Break A Leg, Phoebe, The Crocodile Song is totally my favorite song from Peter Pan! Can't wait to see the pictures. Hugs and High 5, Martha

Bouncing Back From Depression

I've been pretty depressed lately. Monday I hit my all time low, which coincidentally was also my dad's birthday. Needless to say I'm sure I'm on his not favorite child list as I forgot to call him I was so depressed. This whole two mortgage thing with no contract in site is really frustrating. Especially when lots of other houses on our block are selling. Our house is really very lovely, just no pool. It has a really flat backyard perfect for putting a pool in though. Anyway, on Monday, Mom called to make sure I didn't forget to call Dad and tell me she read my blog over the weekend and sent me an email about it. Sorry, Mom, I still have yet to check my emails to see what you had to say. Mom told me I needed to bury a statue of St. Joseph in the yard to get it to sell quicker. Wish I knew that sooner. I was going to wait for her to mail me hers, but yesterday I got really mad at myself and wanted to do something to improve my situation, so I found the nea

Bad Dreams Go Away Magic Spell

Wow! Two posts in one day!!! I just had to blog about this. Indigo Girl had posted about her daughter having bad dreams and looking for advice. I had to post what we do in our house to keep away bad dreams. I have to admit it was one of my most brilliant mommy moments as I pulled this one out of my a$$ when I came up with it. When Phoebe was about 3 or 4 years old, she started complaining about nightmares. I knew it was half true and half stalling for bedtime. She has always been very into witches, wizards and spells (heck she was named after the character on Charmed and my due date was Halloween), so I came up with a magic spell on the spot to keep away bad dreams. I figured all it had to do was rhyme. I will share it with you all and feel free to try it if you need it: Bad dreams, bad dreams go away In Phoebe's dreams she must play She should dream of ice cream and cake Until the morning when she wakes She loves it! She still asks for it sometimes if she's had a ni

Phoebe's Fifth Grade School Picture

Here's Phoebe's 5th Grade School Picture.  I really like her in red or bright colors.  She's definitely becoming quite the little lady.
