Can't Wait For Wednesday

As a lot of you may know, this is one of the most maddening parts of pregnancy. I don't feel pregnant, other than the constant need to sleep. Every now and then, I'm starting to question if things are OK. I don't expect to see the heartbeat on Wednesday, as I'll only be 5 1/2 weeks along, but I hope to see things looking well without a question in their mind about the viability of this pregnancy.

I keep thinking positive, though. I just know that everything is going to be OK.

I am hoping for a wonderful U/S on Wednesday and boy, you just don't what worrying is until your BFP. So understandable because on so many levels it's all outside of our control. I think the positive energy is great and anticipate wonderful news in a two days.
P.S. Martha the clinician here, extreme sleepiness is a powerful pregnancy symptom, indicative of your body working hard to build the placenta. Take care, M

How far along were you when you got your 1st HSG draw done? I had mine done today and got a 57 but I'm only 12DPIUI. My RE is laso making me wait until Friday to have another done. Is it just me that thinks it's odd to wait 96 hours to have the 2nd draw done? They said it was b/c I tested early...

I know i know!!! Me too!!! I am trying to think positive here but it's just that constant questioning at the back of my mind.

At least you'll be going for an u/s. I'll only get mine when I'm 12 weeks. That's how different it's done here. arghs! That's almost 5 weeks away. The barometer of my sanity has been crazy!!! I keep thinking about it every single day!

I'm sending you positive thoughts!!!!!!
Really pulling for you. I admire your positive attitude! You're right - that part of pregnancy can be so trying! Thinking of you!

Bouncing Back From Depression

I've been pretty depressed lately. Monday I hit my all time low, which coincidentally was also my dad's birthday. Needless to say I'm sure I'm on his not favorite child list as I forgot to call him I was so depressed. This whole two mortgage thing with no contract in site is really frustrating. Especially when lots of other houses on our block are selling. Our house is really very lovely, just no pool. It has a really flat backyard perfect for putting a pool in though. Anyway, on Monday, Mom called to make sure I didn't forget to call Dad and tell me she read my blog over the weekend and sent me an email about it. Sorry, Mom, I still have yet to check my emails to see what you had to say. Mom told me I needed to bury a statue of St. Joseph in the yard to get it to sell quicker. Wish I knew that sooner. I was going to wait for her to mail me hers, but yesterday I got really mad at myself and wanted to do something to improve my situation, so I found the nea...

Bad Dreams Go Away Magic Spell

Wow! Two posts in one day!!! I just had to blog about this. Indigo Girl had posted about her daughter having bad dreams and looking for advice. I had to post what we do in our house to keep away bad dreams. I have to admit it was one of my most brilliant mommy moments as I pulled this one out of my a$$ when I came up with it. When Phoebe was about 3 or 4 years old, she started complaining about nightmares. I knew it was half true and half stalling for bedtime. She has always been very into witches, wizards and spells (heck she was named after the character on Charmed and my due date was Halloween), so I came up with a magic spell on the spot to keep away bad dreams. I figured all it had to do was rhyme. I will share it with you all and feel free to try it if you need it: Bad dreams, bad dreams go away In Phoebe's dreams she must play She should dream of ice cream and cake Until the morning when she wakes She loves it! She still asks for it sometimes if she's had a ni...

The Boys Are Here!!!

I'm trying to post this from the hospital Internet access, but I will be able to do this announcement better justice from home, but it is a very odd, but short birth story. They came so fast and furious there was nothing anyone could do. But the boys are in the NICU and doing well. They were born at 31 weeks 5 days gestation on 5/29/2009. I will post their names and information (no comments on names unless you like them, LOL): Baby A: Thomas Michael III born at 2:09 AM Weight - 3 lbs, 15 1/2 oz Length - 18 inches Baby B: Liam Jonathan born at 2:20 AM Weight - 4 lbs, 1.4 oz Length - 17 1/4 inches long Just a word on their health, Thomas's breathing is doing well and he did not need any help in that area so far. I had two steroid shots from when I was admitted until before they were born, so I think that helped. Liam was intubated and given surfactant when he arrived in the NICU and is now on CPAP, although he can't stand having the tubes in his nose. Both are under t...
