Mamma Mia!

In the filler between Beta #1 and Beta #2, I'll give you all an update on my fabulous lazy Sunday. We sat around, watched TV and decided to go to the movies. Leo actually suggested Mamma Mia. I think he realized it would get my mind off waiting for the Beta #1 test. We took Phoebe and she really liked it. I explained it as "High School Musical for Grownups." She's heard ABBA in my car before, so she knew a lot of the songs. Well, now we're having lots of fun on our morning and evening drives into Wilmington for work/camp singing ABBA at the top of our lungs - both of us. It cracks me up to hear her get into it as much as I do.

BTW, the movie was a great feel-good movie. Just what I needed for that day. It was really cute and funny. Makes me want to see the real musical on Broadway even more. One of these days I should see if I can get tickets for all of us. I think Phoebe would really enjoy it, especially now that she knows the music.

I've seen the play twice (once in Toronto and once when it came to my city)and enjoyed it thoroughly. Dutifully, my hubs went with me both times. :)

Awww- that's awesome! I saw the show when we were in Vegas and it was great. I really want to see the movie also. I'm so happy you had a great day and I hope that there are many more whoo hoos in your future! Thanks for the kind words - they help a ton :-)

Oh I loved that movie! I am so going to see it again. It is totally a feel-good, fun movie that you could watch over and over. Do I seem to recall your celeb crush is Colin Firth? Is that right?!

HS Musical for grownups ... love it! And I love how this movie totally gets the young'ins to enjoy ABBA.

And now somehow we've gotta get them to enjoy some Depeche Mode now! I totally loved them too! One of my fave concerts of all time was seeing them in 1988 when OMD opened up for them!

Bouncing Back From Depression

I've been pretty depressed lately. Monday I hit my all time low, which coincidentally was also my dad's birthday. Bad Dreams Go Away Magic Spell

Wow! Two posts in one day!!! I just had to blog about this. Indigo Girl had posted about her daughter having bad dreams and looking for advice. I had to post what we do in our house to keep away bad dreams. I have to admit it was one of my most brilliant mommy moments as I pulled this one out of my a$$ when I came up with it. When Phoebe was about 3 or 4 years old, she started complaining about nightmares. I knew it was half true and half stalling for bedtime. She has always been very into witches, wizards and spells (heck she was named after the character on Charmed and my due date was Halloween), so I came up with a magic spell on the spot to keep away bad dreams. I figured all it had to do was rhyme. The Boys Are Here!!!

I'm trying to post this from the hospital Internet access, but I will be able to do this announcement better justice from home, but it is a very odd, but short birth story. They came so fast and furious there was nothing anyone could do. But the boys are in the NICU and doing well. They were born at 31 weeks 5 days gestation on 5/29/2009. I will post their names and information (no comments on names unless you like them, LOL): Baby A: Thomas Michael III born at 2:09 AM Weight - 3 lbs, 15 1/2 oz Length - 18 inches Baby B: Liam Jonathan born at 2:20 AM Weight - 4 lbs, 1.4 oz Length - 17 1/4 inches long Just a word on their health, Thomas's breathing is doing well and he did not need any help in that area so far. I had two steroid shots from when I was admitted until before they were born, so I think that helped. Liam was intubated and given surfactant when he arrived in the NICU and is now on CPAP, although he can't stand having the tubes in his nose. Both are under t...
