Merry Christmas

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! We survived the holiday yesterday with our now three kids running around on nervous energy and not enough sleep. Now we're getting dumped with our first Noreaster of the winter season. For those not on the East Coast of the USA, that means we're getting dumped about a foot of snow tonight and it's really windy outside. I'm taking the opportunity to relax in the kitchen and bake up some pumpkins to freeze the mash for pumpkin pies, muffins or even pancakes. I've been so busy since we bought them, we're rarely ever home for enough time. So as I watch the snow fall and my pumpkins bake, here is the cup of coffee I raise to you all to toast the season. My special Christmas coffee topped with whipped cream and festive sprinkles. Enjoy!

I wish I had more pumpkin! I have a ton of things I want to do but am not willing to go back to the shops and only about 200g in the freezer for real food. Tonight we're having potato lentil curry and I'll do pumpkin on the side :)

Hope y'all had a great Christmas! Enjoy your snow, pumpkin, and Christmas coffee! : ) Have you tried peppermint moccha creamer? I have gone through about four bottles in the last month!

The Boys Are Here!!!

I'm trying to post this from the hospital Internet access, but I will be able to do this announcement better justice from home, but it is a very odd, but short birth story. They came so fast and furious there was nothing anyone could do. But the boys are in the NICU and doing well. They were born at 31 weeks 5 days gestation on 5/29/2009. I will post their names and information (no comments on names unless you like them, LOL): Baby A: Thomas Michael III born at 2:09 AM Weight - 3 lbs, 15 1/2 oz Length - 18 inches Baby B: Liam Jonathan born at 2:20 AM Weight - 4 lbs, 1.4 oz Length - 17 1/4 inches long Just a word on their health, Thomas's breathing is doing well and he did not need any help in that area so far. I had two steroid shots from when I was admitted until before they were born, so I think that helped. Liam was intubated and given surfactant when he arrived in the NICU and is now on CPAP, although he can't stand having the tubes in his nose. Both are under t...

IVF#2 - It Worked!!!!

OK all my Internet bloggy friends!!!! I'm pregnant with the best initial beta I've ever had!!! Could that mean multiples? We'll find out over the next week or two for sure. My initial beta was 660! I can't believe it! I'm so excited I want to cry. I was so nervous. I didn't want to test before I went there because of all the hcg boosts I had. And I was really starting to doubt if it would really work out or if I was going to have a major disappointment today. I go back on Thursday for a repeat beta and we'll see if we're doubling or better. Leo made a prediction last night of twins. I wonder if he's right. Of course we just want at least one healthy baby, but healthy boy/girl twins would be like winning the lottery. Of course we'll want to win the lottery to support them, but I'm like Scarlett O'Hara in that perspective - "I'll think about that tomorrow!"
