PG - 5 Weeks 1 Day

Today I am 5 weeks and 1 Day pregnant. I'm counting down as I get ready for my first ultrasound a week from today! It's so weird not to have a thousand betas in between and thinking this is not going to work out. I'm pretty sure by now that things are going to work out. What with my tiredness increasing, boobs getting bigger and sorer and I can weep at the drop of a hat, things are definitely cooking in there. Leo seems to still think there's two, but from my beta numbers, I think it's just one.

We had a quiet weekend here at home. We ran a few errands: grocery shopping, picking things up for Thanksgiving dinner, bought Phoebe some new long sleeve shirts and a sweater from the Limited Too as they were having a sale and she had a gift card from her birthday. One of the shirts she just had to have was a Kermit the Frog one. She's so cute, she was so excited to find one. She's wanted a Kermit shirt for awhile now and of course she had to wear it to school today. And she found a lime green baseball cap to wear with it to school. She cracks me up with her fashion sense. She looked so cute today! Anyway, it was probably good that we all wore hats out to the bus stop this morning. It's freezing here!!! We had snow over the past 5 days. Just a little dusting, but enough to make me realize that winter is coming!

Congrats on the 5w1d :) Yay! I hope this is a wonderful pregnancy for you-- :)

I loved Harry Potter too-- and the twlight series is certainly not just for teens! I am partially into book 4 and it has gotten a little weird for me (I have to admit) but will finish it.

Did you go see the movie????
Best Wishes for your U/S next week. I bet Phoebe looked so adorable, It Ain't Easy Being Green!

Bouncing Back From Depression

I've been pretty depressed lately. Monday I hit my all time low, which coincidentally was also my dad's birthday. Needless to say I'm sure I'm on his not favorite child list as I forgot to call him I was so depressed. This whole two mortgage thing with no contract in site is really frustrating. Especially when lots of other houses on our block are selling. Our house is really very lovely, just no pool. It has a really flat backyard perfect for putting a pool in though. Anyway, on Monday, Mom called to make sure I didn't forget to call Dad and tell me she read my blog over the weekend and sent me an email about it. Sorry, Mom, I still have yet to check my emails to see what you had to say. Mom told me I needed to bury a statue of St. Joseph in the yard to get it to sell quicker. Wish I knew that sooner. I was going to wait for her to mail me hers, but yesterday I got really mad at myself and wanted to do something to improve my situation, so I found the nea

Bad Dreams Go Away Magic Spell

Wow! Two posts in one day!!! I just had to blog about this. Indigo Girl had posted about her daughter having bad dreams and looking for advice. I had to post what we do in our house to keep away bad dreams. I have to admit it was one of my most brilliant mommy moments as I pulled this one out of my a$$ when I came up with it. When Phoebe was about 3 or 4 years old, she started complaining about nightmares. I knew it was half true and half stalling for bedtime. She has always been very into witches, wizards and spells (heck she was named after the character on Charmed and my due date was Halloween), so I came up with a magic spell on the spot to keep away bad dreams. I figured all it had to do was rhyme. I will share it with you all and feel free to try it if you need it: Bad dreams, bad dreams go away In Phoebe's dreams she must play She should dream of ice cream and cake Until the morning when she wakes She loves it! She still asks for it sometimes if she's had a ni

The Boys Are Here!!!

I'm trying to post this from the hospital Internet access, but I will be able to do this announcement better justice from home, but it is a very odd, but short birth story. They came so fast and furious there was nothing anyone could do. But the boys are in the NICU and doing well. They were born at 31 weeks 5 days gestation on 5/29/2009. I will post their names and information (no comments on names unless you like them, LOL): Baby A: Thomas Michael III born at 2:09 AM Weight - 3 lbs, 15 1/2 oz Length - 18 inches Baby B: Liam Jonathan born at 2:20 AM Weight - 4 lbs, 1.4 oz Length - 17 1/4 inches long Just a word on their health, Thomas's breathing is doing well and he did not need any help in that area so far. I had two steroid shots from when I was admitted until before they were born, so I think that helped. Liam was intubated and given surfactant when he arrived in the NICU and is now on CPAP, although he can't stand having the tubes in his nose. Both are under t
